Psychiatrist under critisism
A man is alleged to have shot his wife in the Swiss town of Schuebelbach last Wednesday. Before he had been released from investigative custody– under the recommendation of a renowned psychiatrist from Lucerne.
New facts have surfaced in regards to a incident of domestic violence last Wednesday: The suspect would have likely still been in custody, had a psychiatric evaluation not suggested his release.
The evaluation was conducted in Lucerne
Research has revealed that the renowned psychiatrist Andreas Frei wrote the evaluation. In that report the Portuguese national was declared a «moderate security risk» – although the later victim had reported him three times to the police, because of domestic violence. The courts released the man after less than a month of investigative custody. Last Wednesday he is alleged to have shot dead his wife. He remains since then at large.
